Ape is a character who appears in "The Revenge of the Demon Headmaster". He was a character in the Hunky Parker television series, created by the Headmaster, in order to replace the Hunky Parker character. The Headmaster created the Hunky Parker Television series, named after the main character Hunky Parker, which contained subliminal frames to create a Hunky Parker obsession wit the general public.

The Headmaster uses the nineth episode of Hunky Parker to introduce the Ape character, using the subliminal frames to switch the publics loyalty from Hunky Parker to Ape. The public would become obssed with Ape but would be unable to find any Ape products and would be programmed to start mass riotting throughout the whole company. The Headmaster intended for this riot to go on for around ten weeks before he would have stepped in and stopped the riot and used that to take over the county.

A short time before HP9, Splat became aware of the subliminal frames and started investigating Hunky Parker and arrive at Hunky headquaters The Sty. Dinah Hunter figures out what the Headmaster plans to do with HP9 and attempts to edit out the subliminal frames from the tape before it could be broadcast. Dinah rushes through the process and accidentally replaces the frames with live camera images instead of deleting them and the tape goes out with this edit. Dinah's edit causes the public to hate Ape instead of loving him, causing some of the public to come to the sty looking for him and, since the Headmaster is dressed as Ape, they chase him.
